Are you a skilled upholsterer with a passion for innovation and hands-on problem-solving?
Taskmaster are excited to be recruited for a Development Upholsterer to join a dynamic R&D team.
You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your ideas and craftsmanship directly influence design, cost-efficiency, and production. From bare frame to finished product, youll be at the heart of developmentprototyping, refining, and supporting the transition into full-scale manufacturing.
The Role:
Develop and upholster new products from scratch, considering cost-saving opportunities and production efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on frame and mechanism assembly.
Keep detailed development notes and create training documentation to support product launch.
Train manufacturing teams on new product builds and processes.
About You:
5+ years of upholstery experience
Strong communication skillsboth written and verbal
Computer literate Microsoft office
Self-motivated and proactive mindset
Ability to write clear instruction manuals
A natural problem-solver and team player
Personable and collaborative
Knowledge of traditional upholstery techniques
CAD experience would be ideal but not essential
Cutting and sewing skills
Understanding of woodworking, frames, and mechanisms
Experience leading small teams
