Role: We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Training and Technical Support Manager to work as part of the Marketing team. The individual will become a technical lead for Salamander Pumps working across all areas of the business.
The role will include a variety of tasks designed to educate our re-sellers, customers and employees on our product range and their installation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Development and delivery of training workshops and product demonstrations which will be presented in person and via digital means such as webinars. Working with stakeholders, including employees, installers, merchants, engineers and college students to educate on the Salamander product range.
* Ongoing support to our Customer Experience Manager to ensure technical and plumbing advice given via our Customer Service team is accurate.
* Close liaison with our R&D team, giving input to new product development and delivering the education required to support product launches.
* Digital content development including e-school modules, training animations, video, and blogs, working closely with our marketing team.
* Development and maintenance of technical literature including installation guidelines and data sheets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
* Building relationships with key bodies including Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers and City and Guilds to educate on and promote the brand and product range.
* Installer liaison, becoming a known representative of Salamander Pumps from a technical perspective, offering installation advice and customer service support as and when required.
Person Specification:
* Understanding and experience of plumbing and domestic and light commercial heating systems
* Self-motivated with a desire to develop and make the role their own
* Confidence to deliver technical training sessions and product demonstrations in front of a variety of audience sizes and types
* Technically minded with the ability to pay attention to detail
* Understanding of key Microsoft Programmes including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Working hours & Benefits
* 38 hours per week. Typically, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm with a 3pm finish on a Friday, but with flexibility to meet the needs of the role as there will be a requirement for travel within the UK and ROI, evening training sessions and exhibition attendance.
