Functional Assessor (PIP/WCA)
Location: Guildford
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on location) rising by £1,000 at 6/12 months – Performance based
Roles for Nurses, OTs, Physios, Paramedics, Pharmacists. Full Time – Hybrid (Mon–Fri). Part time available.
Become a Functional Assessor, supporting individuals applying for benefits doing either Work Capability Assessments (WCA) or Personal Independent Payment (PIP) on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Your Role
* Assess claimants' health and daily living via phone and face‑to‑face appointments for capability to work and work related activities or daily living and mobility.
* Review medical evidence and compile detailed reports for the DWP.
* Use clinical expertise in a role that values quality, not speed.

Essential Criteria
* Registered Nurse, OT, Physio, Pharmacist or Paramedic.
* Minimum 1‑year post‑registration experience in an adult setting.
* NMC/HCPC registered.
* Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
* Confident communicator & report writer – IT literate.
* Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
* Experience working with complex health conditions.
