Payroll Support Officer (Modern Apprentice)
An opportunity has arisen to provide support to the Payroll Team within NHS Highland whilst being supported through an SVQ in Business and Administration (SCQF Level 6). This includes providing reception and secretarial service to colleagues, data entry of certain elements of payroll processing, completion of information requests, monitoring of email mailbox and responding to certain queries, as well maintenance of record keeping systems.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Word and Excel.
Apprenticeship Details
This opportunity is part of the Modern Apprenticeship Programme, which is primarily funded for applicants aged 16‑24 (or up to 29 for disabled or care‑experienced applicants). If you fall outside these criteria and wish to discuss, please contact us. This Apprenticeship does not require previous experience within our sector, and we would therefore encourage applications from school leavers and young people with limited work experience.
The post is graded as Band 2. If appointed, you will be paid in accordance with Annex 21, which means a percentage of the fully qualified rate is applied during the period of training at 75% of the pay band maximum (uplifted to the Scottish Living Wage) per annum.
This is a full-time position and is based in Assynt House, Inverness.
