Business Development Manager - Defence
London based role with travel

Our Client is looking for a Business Development Manager to help expand their presence across the defence sector for infrastructure and construction projects.
About the Role
This is a high-impact role focused on establishing our brand and capabilities within the UK defence and dual-use markets. You’ll be the face of our business development efforts—engaging with clients, shaping strategy, and supporting bids that align with our long-term growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute market entry strategies for public and private sector defence clients
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing stakeholders
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, maintaining intelligence databases
* Support bid strategy development and contribute to EOIs and PQQs
* Represent the company at pipeline and tender meetings
* Collaborate closely with internal teams including operations and bid management
My Client Is Looking For:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the UK defence sector (Armed Forces, government, or related roles)
* Strong understanding of UK construction and procurement processes, especially MOD frameworks
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Familiarity with CRM systems and governance procedures for business development
* A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and delivery
