Civil Design Engineers x 3 - Water. With a transformative multi‑billion programme of investment, the UK and Ireland Water Industry will undergo a generational change to deliver a sustainable future. At Jacobs, you’ll be at the heart of delivering it as part of our Water and Environment team, helping shape the future of water infrastructure through strategic partnerships with the region's largest water companies. From early‑stage feasibility and planning to design, construction management and long‑term operations, your work will span the full project lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions, helping shape the UK’s water infrastructure and making a real difference to communities and the environment. You’ll join a team of nearly 600 water experts working on high‑profile projects, gaining exposure to cutting‑edge technologies and diverse challenges. At Jacobs, you’ll be part of a world‑leading consultancy and a movement to redefine what’s possible in the water industry.
Remit and responsibilities of these roles will include:
Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
* Deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions across water infrastructure.
* Oversee technical delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
* Demonstrate exemplary behaviour in personal and team health, safety and wellbeing management in accordance with Jacobs\' BeyondZero approach.
* Foster relationships with existing water clients while continuing to develop the relationship‑based growth model.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable progressive experience in civil engineering expertise in detailed design and design‑and‑build execution for water and wastewater non‑infrastructure projects.
* A sound knowledge of civil engineering principles and project lifecycle management.
* Familiarity with UK water sector regulations and safety protocols.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Member of ICE or CIWEM.
* Robust understanding of current health, safety and welfare legislation.
* Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
