Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for Boeing Tactical Instructors to work at Wattisham Airfield, Suffolk, UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to UK defence customers, including training services. This is an exciting time to join our growing team as we enhance our Training Capability for the Apache AH-64E helicopter.
In this role, you will deliver Apache AH-64E weapons and electronic warfare training to BDUK’s military aircrew customer, supporting Military Synthetic Training Instructors. You will be responsible for the daily delivery of customer training within the state-of-the-art Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) simulators. All AH-64E simulator conversion trainings will be tailored to your needs and may include technical and instructor development training.
You will work in early and late shifts, covering an extended day from 07:00 to 21:45 hrs, and support military exercises, with up to ten days per year working away from Wattisham within the UK. The role is varied, with a focus on maintaining a healthy work-life balance and fostering an inclusive, innovative, and safety-first team culture.
Position Responsibilities:
* Conduct instructional sorties on the AH-64E Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT), including pre- and post-sortie briefings, debriefings, and report writing
* Develop and deliver tactical synthetic training scenarios
* Manage Electronic Warfare Mission Data and conduct safety and weapons testing
* Deliver courses on Range Safety, Weapons Testing, and Forward Air Control (AbFAC)
* Maintain proficiency in aircraft systems and instructional methods
* Develop solutions collaboratively and pursue continuous improvements
* Demonstrate Boeing values and behaviors, and prioritize customer needs
Basic Qualifications:
* Several years of flying experience as a Military Rotary Wing Pilot
* Instructor qualification in airborne weapons or electronic warfare
Preferred Qualifications:
* Recent AH-64E experience or equivalent, including instructional or synthetic training experience
* General instructional experience in academic and theoretical topics
* Experience with synthetic training is advantageous
