We're currently involved in a major energy project in the Southwest (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete, bulk earthworks, MEP works, Marine and infrastructure works on one of the UK's largest projects. We have an exciting opportunity for a MEP Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large, complex projects like Hinkley, with MEP expertise, knowledge of the RIBA design process, and management of subcontractor programmes. Primavera experience and 4D Planning experience are also desirable.
Location: Somerset, Bridgwater
Hours: Permanent, Full Time, with some Hybrid working options available
Responsibilities:
As an MEP Planner, you'll support the Nuclear Major Projects team in delivering MEP works, including cladding and roof works on nuclear-grade reinforced concrete buildings, on one of the UK's largest projects. Experience in installation of mechanical, electrical, and fitout of RC frame buildings, along with understanding of NEC contracts, subcontractor programme management, and auditing will be advantageous.
Your day-to-day as an MEP Planner will include:
* Creating programmes from first principles using M&E schedules, drawings, and specifications
* Developing integrated programmes from subcontractor schedules
* Auditing subcontractor programmes for robustness
* Monitoring progress against contract requirements
* Managing changes in programmes according to NEC conditions
What we are looking for in a candidate:
* UK NEC contract-based planning experience
* Familiarity with MEP work methodologies and techniques
* Experience with Impact/Delay Programmes
