Are you passionate about promoting mental well-being in the younger generation?
An exciting opportunity has arisen at a fantastic school in the Swindon district for a recent graduate or passionate individual to join their support staff team starting in April.
We are collaborating with an excellent school in Swindon that is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join their team of support staff, which includes clinical therapists, educational psychologists, and safeguarding officers. The role involves providing additional support and guidance to students aged 4-19 from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have mental health, social, emotional, or developmental trauma needs. The school aims to support a Mental Health Specialist beginning in February 2025, who will work on a 1-1 basis with students, offering consistent support to help them reach their full potential academically and socially.
The successful candidate will work closely with children on a 1-1 basis, supervising during class, helping students maintain focus, teaching regulation techniques during turbulent situations, and encouraging independence. The role focuses on addressing students' internal dilemmas and facilitating therapeutic techniques, acting as a role model and guiding students through challenging situations.
