Tasks
1. Testing of customer samples in a timely manner and in line with procedure,
2. interpret results and make necessary recommendations
3. Testing and approval of finished goods in line with procedure.
4. Testing and approval of raw materials received in line with procedure
5. Preparation of necessary documentation / reports as required and maintain laboratory records
6. Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is regularly calibrated and conforms to
7. process/regulatory requirements and maintain records
8. Support other laboratory activities / investigations when required
9. Ensuring departmental compliance with QH EHS, ISO9001 and other mandatory
10. procedures.
11. Ensuring that the laboratory workplace is maintained in a clean and orderly condition
Requirements
12. Studied to a minimum standard of GCSE or equivalent, English, mathematics and a science would be preferable.
13. Experience of working in a relevant discipline within a laboratory or similar environment would be beneficial but not essential.
14. Ability to use Microsoft office.
15. Excellent attention to detail and able to work accurately under pressure
16. Excellent written and oral communication skills
17. Recognition of the importance of personal responsibility for health and safety
18. Ability to multi-task, prioritise work under pressure and be able to work unsupervised.
