Poste et missions
The incumbent will act as a core member of the Business and Functions Compliance team, supporting a broad range of Advisory Compliance activities across the various business units and functional areas within the UK branch, including Banking and Markets desks. The individual will act as a primary point of contact to the Markets businesses as well as acting as the lead for the UK Surveillance oversight, and supporting the Head of Business and Functions Compliance directly on projects and matters impacting across the branch.
The role will involve developing relevant local compliance policies and procedures as well as coordinating and monitoring the effectiveness of compliance support for the UK branch within the framework of the overall Natixis global compliance strategy and the compliance strategy set by the UK Head of Compliance. The incumbent is required to establish strong relationships with business and infrastructure colleagues locally and also with relevant Head Office Compliance staff.
UK Surveillance oversight is also a core part of the responsibility embedded in the Business and Functions Compliance team, in order to ensure alignment of activities and co-ordination with the broader activites within the team. The roleholder will also take ownership of other key regulatory topics as required and in particular around post trade reporting obligations in co-ordination with other SMEs in both London and the Paris Head Office.
Profil et compétences requises
· Strong technical knowledge of various compliance regimes impacting Private Side businesses, particularly the UK and EU, but also AsiaPac and US (, MAR, MiFID II, EMIR, FATCA, City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, Competition Law. Loan Market Association, Dodd Frank, Volcker etc)
· Relevant experience working as business compliance with the front office in an investment banking environment. Experience across a variety of business lines and products may be beneficial, in particular private side business activities and products and / or structured products
· Excellent communication and presentation skills able to communicate quickly and clearly at all levels
· Sound analytical skills and good judgement, with a proven ability as a problem solver
· Ability to prioritse, respond quickly and accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
· French language skills useful but not essential
· Professional qualification (legal, accountancy and/or compliance) desirable
