We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join this dynamic team in the field of Data Centre Engineering. As a key member of the organisation, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimising mechanical systems for Data Centre projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking the lead in large-scale projects and will delegate drawing and thermal calculations to junior staff members. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of sustainable, efficient, and innovative solutions. Responsibilities: Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers to develop mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems for mission critical projects. Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, and energy assessments to inform design decisions. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Evaluate equipment and materials for suitability and cost-effectiveness. Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the mechanical design team. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (BEng minimum). Chartered Engineer status (preferred). * Minimum 5-6 years of experience in mechanical design for building services. Strong understanding and interest in the data centre industry Experience of delivering large - scale mission critical projects within healthcare, aviation or pharmaceutical sectors. Data Centre experience is desirable but is not necessary. Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit ). Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, cooling and fire protection systems.
