The Role As an Accounts Technician, you’ll be responsible for preparing accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You’ll work as part of a friendly and experienced team, supporting senior accountants and liaising directly with clients. Key responsibilities: Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for clients Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong working relationships Supporting senior colleagues with ad-hoc accounting and compliance tasks About You AAT qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail Familiarity with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) Organised, motivated, and eager to develop your skills further What’s on Offer Competitive salary (£26,000 – £34,000 DOE) Full study support for AAT, ACCA, or ACA (tuition, exams, and study leave) Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Enhanced holiday allowance, plus extra days for long service Private medical cover and wellness programme Modern, open-plan offices with free on-site parking Regular team events, socials, and charity activities Ongoing CPD and personal development plan Genuine career progression to Senior Technician or Assistant Manager Why Join?
