Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Flexera Lead

Base pay range
Up to £68,517 plus 28.97% employer pension contributions.
What you’ll need
* Proven significant experience of designing, implementing and managing a Flexera on‑premise installation, including agent rollout and integrations with multiple technologies such as Kubernetes deployment in AKS and EKS.
* Evidence of a strong track record in designing and delivering infrastructure services and solutions within a hybrid server estate, including multiple operating systems (Microsoft Windows Server, Unix or Linux distributions) and containerised platforms, to meet strategic plans and roadmaps.
* Demonstrated experience in providing specialist technical support and assistance to projects, ensuring the definition and delivery of non‑functional requirements for architectural and roadmap developments.
* Experience managing, supporting and mentoring team members to successfully deliver high quality outcomes that meet customer needs and provide value for money.
* Proficiency using multiple scripting languages across different operating systems, including the deployment of Infrastructure as Code.
* Strong communication skills at all levels, across support and engineering, business users, architecture and suppliers.
You and your role
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about tech and ready to lead in shaping how we monitor and manage the performance of our IT systems. You’ll be part of the Enterprise Tooling Team, designing and delivering new services, keeping everything stable and resilient, and ensuring our monitoring tools are accurate, reliable and future‑ready.
You’ll be the go‑to expert on the Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite, lead a small team, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, and help the organisation make the most of its infrastructure.
We’re after someone who’s comfortable with cloud platforms, containers and infrastructure as code, and who can roll out Flexera One agents across diverse environments.
Location
You’ll join us in one of our digital hubs in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient.
Hybrid working
We work a hybrid model – some time at home and some time collaborating face‑to‑face in a hub.
Pay
Pay: Competitive up to £68,517
Pension
You’ll receive a civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.
