Senior Management Accountant
Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £75,000 base + 10% bonus
Hybrid working – 4 days in the office (Central London), 1 day from home

The Role
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving performance across a multi-entity, operationally complex business. You will take ownership of core reporting processes, contribute to board-level insights, and act as a trusted finance partner to both finance and operational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End
* Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple entities
* Prepare full management accounts (P&L and balance sheet) with clear commentary and insight
* Deliver variance analysis against budget and prior periods
* Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets
* Produce consolidated reporting at group level
* Support the preparation of board packs and senior stakeholder reporting
Business Partnering
* Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
* Develop a strong understanding of revenue streams and cost drivers across the portfolio
* Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
Team Leadership & Oversight
* Manage and develop junior members of the finance team
* Review outputs from management accounting and transactional finance (AP/AR)
* Support the ongoing development and mentoring of part-qualified staff
Process Improvement & Projects
* Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting
* Contribute to systems improvements and reporting automation
* Support audit processes and liaise with external stakeholders
* Deliver ad hoc analysis and project work to support senior leadership
About You
Experience & Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Circa 4+ years’ post-qualified experience
* Strong background in management accounting and month-end close
* Experience producing consolidated accounts
* Exposure to team management or mentoring
* Experience within a multi-site, multi-entity, or fast-paced environment is advantageous
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
* Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively
* Commercially aware with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Strong attention to detail, balanced with the ability to see the bigger picture
