We're looking for an experienced and proactive Depot Operations Manager to join the team and ensure the smooth operation of the transport fleet and delivery service. \n\nThe Role:\nAs Depot Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
You'll manage a team of drivers, coordinate vehicle movements, and maintain high standards of safety and performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPlan and manage vehicle transport schedules to meet client deadlines.\nSupervise and support a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards.\nMonitor fleet performance, optimising routes and reducing operational costs.\nLiaise with clients to provide updates and resolve any transport-related issues.\nMaintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and driver logs.\nImplement strategies to improve efficiency and service quality.What We're Looking For:\n\nProven experience as a Transport Manager or similar role ideally with experience working with parcels or pallet network operations.\nStrong knowledge of transport regulations (e.g., tachograph rules, DVSA standards).\nExcellent leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.\nProficiency in transport management software and IT systems.\nCPC National/International qualification (preferred but not essential).\nA proactive problem-solver with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.What We Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nOpportunity to work with a growing company in the vehicle transport industry.\nSupportive team environment with career development opportunities. \n\nAt Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
