Conwy Employment Hub is seeking a motivated Employment Mentor to deliver excellent customer service to participants. The role involves equipping participants with skills, tools, and practices necessary for entering or re-entering employment.
Conwy Council offers a hybrid working environment and flexible hours to promote work-life balance. Whether working from the new Coed Pella office or from home, Employment Mentors manage caseloads, supporting participants towards sustained employment.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Identifying participants' goals, aspirations, and barriers to employment, and facilitating appropriate solutions and interventions.
2. Monitoring participants' progress into sustainable employment and developing their job search skills, confidence, and empowerment.
3. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts for referrals.
4. Establishing and managing relationships with employers, following up to arrange interviews, and ensuring smooth transitions into employment.
All participant details and requirements must be accurately and promptly recorded and reviewed.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
This role offers flexible working options, including hybrid work arrangements combining office and home working.
