Job Title: Finance Operations Compliance Manager Location: Glasgow | Hybrid I have partnered with an international organisation as they are searching for an experienced Finance Operations Compliance Manager. This position is essential for ensuring that all financial operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. As a Compliance Manager, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles and compliance standards to establish and oversee control measures. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage audits, and continuously evaluate and enhance our compliance framework, particularly in accounts payable. Compliance Oversight: Develop, implement, and uphold policies and procedures for accounts payable and expenses, ensuring alignment with regional laws and regulations. Revise processes in response to updates in accounting standards, legal requirements, and tax obligations across various jurisdictions. Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with functional managers to ensure compliance with SRA regulations.​​​​​​​ Audit Management: Coordinate responses to both internal and external audits, focusing on finance operations and accounts payable. Prepare necessary documentation and reports for auditors, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to inquiries. Risk Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify risks within finance operational processes. Proactively address potential compliance risks and control deficiencies. Vendor Due Diligence & Reconciliations: Establish and manage a vendor due diligence process to evaluate and monitor vendor compliance. Ensure that vendors meet both internal and external compliance standards. Collaborate with relationship owners to manage finance and accounting supplier reconciliations, ensuring accurate processing and accounting prior to sign-off. Training and Education: Work alongside the Accounts Payable Manager to develop training programs and guidance on compliance policies and procedures. Keep the finance team updated on changes in compliance requirements. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements to boost compliance and efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to adopt best practices. Reporting: Generate and analyse compliance metrics reports. Provide regular updates to management regarding compliance status. Communication and Collaboration: Partner with the Financial Control team to ensure a holistic approach to compliance. Effectively communicate compliance requirements to relevant stakeholders. Proven experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks. Background in audit and/or compliance is preferred. Knowledge of or part-qualified in ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, or ICAEW, or equivalent experience. A passion for continuous learning to uphold organizational controls and compliance. Exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in assessment and interpretation of compliance-related information. Capability to lead, train, and implement changes to controls.
