Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, which includes providing them with temporary accommodation.
As the Purposeful Activity Administrator, you will be responsible for administrating and supporting the coordination of the fulfillment and accurate recording/analysis of purposeful activity spaces across HMP Fosse Way. Your role will involve ensuring the right prisoners are engaging in the right activities, at the right time, as directed by their Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), while ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded.
Key Accountabilities:
* Contribute to the implementation and fulfillment of the purposeful activity strategy, maximizing opportunities for prisoners to engage in work, education, and training that benefit their rehabilitation and the efficient running of the prison.
* Provide administrative support for all areas of the Learning and Skills Department.
* Ensure all scheduling records are complete and input onto CMS and other local recording systems, including manual and electronic files.
* Identify prisoners eligible for education and activities and process them in line with relevant timetables.
* Ensure all activity places are allocated appropriately.
* Work as part of a team in an efficient and professional manner.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues throughout the prison in an appropriate and professional manner.
* Understand relevant policies and procedures, providing help and support as required by your line manager.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude to change and show flexibility in the workplace.
* Maintain a high level of security and confidentiality concerning staff and prisoners, ensuring all information is treated confidentially.
* Administer all systems within the department and produce reports as requested.
* Maintain accurate records of all actions taken.
* Enter appropriate figures onto the month-end report by the specified date.
* Perform daily filing and archiving of records when required.
* Undertake other duties as directed by senior management.
Experience:
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages.
* Good working knowledge of databases.
* Flexibility and ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to form good working relationships.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
* Proactive problem-solving skills, presenting solutions to managers when required.
* Adherence to Data Protection regulations at all times.
