Park Recruit are partnering with a successful FMCG client in the Mid Ulster area, who are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and oversee the end-to-end operations of food manufacturing site. This newly created role will be responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring effective supply chain and logistics performance, and embedding lean manufacturing principles across the business. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence in a fast-paced food production environment. Key Responsibilities: Production Management Lead day-to-day operations across all production lines to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost targets are met. Manage a shift operation with accountability for production planning, performance KPIs, labour efficiency, and output targets. Collaborate with the Technical team to ensure all food safety, BRC, and regulatory compliance standards are consistently achieved. Supply Chain & Logistics Oversee the planning, warehousing, inbound/outbound logistics, and inventory management. Ensure optimal stock control, raw material availability, and delivery performance through effective supplier and 3PL management. Monitor MRP/ERP systems to maintain accurate BOMs, order fulfilment, and material traceability. Lean Manufacturing Drive a lean culture through the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and standardised work practices. Champion waste reduction, line balancing, downtime analysis, and OEE improvement initiatives. Facilitate training and engagement in lean tools and problem-solving techniques across the site. Continuous Improvement Identify and lead CI projects to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Use data and metrics to evaluate process bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally to embed a continuous improvement mindset throughout operations. Key Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in a senior operations/production role within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector. Proven track record of developing and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics best practices. Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement frameworks. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and KPI reporting tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Qualifications: Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related discipline (preferred). Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above (desirable).
