Position: Remedial Coordinator / Estimator\n\nLocation: Cardiff\n\nSalary: £30k - £40k depending on experience\n\nThe Company: Smoke control specialists\n\nThe Role:\n\n * The Remedial Co-Ordinator will work as a key member within the HQ\n\n * You will be responsible for preparing and submitting remedial/repairs work quotations following receipt of the Service Engineer’s site visit reports.\n\n * The Remedial Co-Ordinator will ensure that all quotes are produced in a timely manner and are followed-up accordingly, and all materials, labour and plant are organised efficiently.\n\n * You will have a good level of technical understanding and attention to detail that will enable you to understand and support all remedial and small works delivered by the service team.\n\n * Obtaining prices and quotes from suppliers or internal departments to prepare quotes.\n\n * Follow up on the status and progress of the quote with the customers.\n\n * Convert successful quotes into live jobs and manage delivery of work.\n\n * Procurement of all materials, plant and scheduling of labour requirements for fulfillment of work order.\n\n * Monitor service enquiries and aid customers as required.\n\n * Arrange call out assistance.\n\n * Site attendance may be required to support the management of larger remedial works.\n\n * Covering other team member absences.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Understanding of mechanical/electrical systems.\n\n * Ability to review engineer’s site reports, and to produce into quotations ready for submittal to their client’s.\n\n * Ability to review customers’ enquiries and develop with support of technical colleagues.\n\n * An ability to learn, retain legislative information and identify potential legislative system issues would be advantageous.\n\n * An ability to problem solve, think outside of the box and provide thorough solutions.\n\n * You will have a methodical and practical attitude, and good attention to detail.\n\n * Candidates will be required to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\n * Willing to travel when necessary.\n\n * Always aims to deliver great customer service, but you are not afraid to say ‘No’ when needed\n\n * Be passionate about buildings and love working with people.\n\n * Valid UK Driving License.\n\n * Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.\n\n * Previous experience of supply chain and customer management software.\n\n * Ability to follow procedures and instructions.\n\n * Excellent customer service and teamwork.\n\n * Excellent oral and written communication skills
