Role Overview
The organisation is seeking a capable and commercially astute Commercial Paralegal to join its in-house legal team on a six-month fixed-term contract. This position provides the opportunity to gain high-quality exposure to commercial contracting and operational legal work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional office attendance required for key meetings or project activity.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, draft, and assist with the negotiation of commercial contracts, supplier terms, service agreements, and associated documentation.
* Analyse third-party contractual provisions, identifying operational, legal, and commercial risks.
* Provide day-to-day contractual support to internal stakeholders, ensuring clear, timely, and commercially aligned guidance.
* Maintain and update contract templates, guidance notes, and standard documentation to promote consistency and compliance.
* Support compliance, governance, and regulatory tasks as directed by the legal team.
* Undertake legal research and prepare succinct briefing materials for internal use.
Candidate Profile
* A minimum of six months’ experience working with commercial contracts, gained either in-house or within a private practice environment.
* Strong drafting and document-review skills, with the ability to interpret contractual language accurately and pragmatically.
* Excellent organisational and communication capabilities, with confidence engaging with stakeholders across the business.
* A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Full, unrestricted right to work in the UK (this role is not eligible for sponsorship).
