Overview
Lifeline Services Scheme Manager role based at Darlington Borough Council requires managing schemes across sheltered and extra care complexes to help tenants live safely and independently in their own communities.
Responsibilities
* Manage building-related duties including monitoring legionella, fire safety, repairs, and site safety audits.
* Support tenants, their families, carers and professionals as part of the Lifeline services team.
* Carry out daily calls and visits; respond to emergency calls within the scheme; facilitate activities and plan events to engage residents.
* Think dynamically and remain calm, adapting to presenting situations; ideally have experience in customer-facing roles with older, vulnerable people.
* Ensure administrative requirements are met through confident use of databases, Microsoft packages, technology, and a good understanding of GDPR.
* Experience in building management is useful but not essential; a comprehensive induction and ongoing training are provided.
Qualifications
* Approachable with a "can do" attitude; organized, flexible and able to communicate effectively and compassionately with a broad range of audiences.
* Ability to engage and encourage people; capable of handling daily operations and emergencies in a sheltered housing environment.
* Confident in database use, Microsoft Office, technology, and GDPR understanding.
* Experience in building management is advantageous but not required due to provided induction and training.
