We're looking for an exceptional Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our MSK Team on a musculoskeletal (MSK) rotation. This role offers newly registered physiotherapists with a special interest in MSK a range of clinical experiences. The main rotations are of 6 months duration and cover the following specialisms:
* MSK Physiotherapy
* MSK Hand Therapy
* MSK Foot and Ankle Biomechanics
* MSK Continence Physiotherapy
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, assisting the team with treating patients with a wide range of MSK conditions across these specialisms.
We provide comprehensive in-service training as part of our Preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff, along with peer supervision and dedicated slots for more experienced staff. Flexible hours are available, and work bases will vary based on service needs. Applicants must be prepared to travel across Norfolk.
Key responsibilities include:
* Contributing to high standards of healthcare for patients with MSK conditions in clinics, by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care packages.
* Formulating and executing individualised management and treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other agencies, using a range of treatment skills within MSK Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy, Continence, and Foot & Ankle Biomechanics.
* Conducting face-to-face or telephone/video consultations for assessments and treatments.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and agencies to provide integrated services.
* Working across various locations to meet service needs.
Our MSK clinical team includes Extended Scope Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, and MSK Assistant Practitioners. We operate in various venues, including health centres, GP surgeries, community hospitals, and leisure centres.
This organisation has been awarded an 'Outstanding' rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the highest rating, and is the first NHS community trust to achieve this status as a standalone entity.
Additional responsibilities involve conducting comprehensive specialist assessments of MSK patients, developing differential diagnoses, and formulating treatment plans, utilizing clinical reasoning skills. Assessments and treatments may be conducted face-to-face or virtually to improve patient access.
