Our client a national Civils contractor are looking to bolster their project team with an experienced Engineering manager. This would be an ongoing freelance position and for the right person could be a quick start.
Job Description
1. Manage and coordinate the planning, design, installation, use, and removal of temporary works as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC), while overseeing method engineering, buildability, and technical sign-off of both temporary and permanent works.
2. Review of technical documentation and implementation of technical methods and systems to enable construction activities including earthworks, piling, pavement, roadworks, bridges, culverts, underpasses, drainage, souring and lifting operations.
3. Oversee technical aspects of temporary and permanent works, and procurement ensuring engineering standards and safe construction practices are followed.
4. Manage engineering risks, including monitoring ground movements, addressing unexpected conditions, and approving critical permits.
