The Health & Safety Officer will support the Assets Directorate in ensuring that the organisations housing assets, workplaces, and operational activities are managed in a safe and compliant manner. The Health & Safety Officer will provide health and safety support across all functions within the Assets Directorate, including planned works, property compliance, repairs and maintenance services, and works delivered by the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). The role will involve undertaking inspections, supporting risk management processes, promoting safe working practices, and delivering safety awareness training to staff and operatives within the Assets Directorate. The Health & Safety Officer supports compliance with relevant Northern Ireland legislation including the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978, the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.
