Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join the Primary Care team at HMP Risley, a category C prison located in the Risley area of Warrington. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients and delivering outstanding care. HMP Risley has an operational capacity of around 1100 inmates and is a 20 minute drive from Warrington and 30 minutes from Wigan.
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, 20:30-07:30, shifts 7 on, 7 off.
Salary: £25,557 - £29,723 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties
* Ensure continuity of care for all patients and deliver outstanding care at all times.
* Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods, etc.
* Respond to emergency situations as needed.
* Work holistically with patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy, etc.
* Deliver personalised, non‑judgemental care based on patient feedback.
* Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics.

Person Specification
* NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
* Experience within a healthcare setting – hospital, community or secure setting.
* Experience in primary care or inpatients is a bonus.
* Non‑judgemental and compassionate approach.
