Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as Housing Support Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, builders, surveyors, landlords, architects, and planning and building control teams to develop and implement suitable property adaptations. Provide technical guidance and support to service users and colleagues regarding building adaptations and related work. Conduct on-site visits and inspections at various stages of construction to ensure that all works meet required legal, design, and safety standards. Visit clients in their homes to assess needs and oversee building work as necessary. Prepare detailed cost estimates for eligible grants and support clients in gathering contractor quotations. Create technical layout drawings using appropriate software and prepare detailed schedules of work for use in tendering and contracting processes. Manage customer cases throughout the grant application process, including financial assessments and verifying eligibility, while identifying any required contributions from the service user. Work alongside building control officers to ensure that all necessary inspections are carried out during and after completion of the work. Maintain accurate manual and digital records and produce relevant correspondence as needed.
