Job Description
We design and manufacture underwater connectors and harnesses for harsh environments and have over 30 years experience in mechanical, electrical, and optical design, as well as considerable expertise in material selection for subsea applications. We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude, eager to learn and develop, to join our growing Production team at our site in Alton, Hampshire. The successful candidate will undergo technical training with experienced technicians and managers as part of onboarding and personal development.
Job Purpose
To provide high-level production support across Moulding, Wiring, EMAT & Connector Moulding, ensuring the timely output of production across a wide range of assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform day-to-day tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor, in accordance with the production plan, focusing on wiring and assembly of production jobs.
2. Follow quality standards, procedures, and workflows at all times.
3. Inspect work following inspection guidelines.
4. Report production errors to the Production Supervisor.
5. Solder as required, working towards IPC-620 standards (training provided).
6. Conduct procedural tests on production products.
7. Use test equipment, fixtures, and procedures under supervision as needed.
8. Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship.
9. Prioritize personal health and safety at all times.
10. Maintain a safe working environment, supporting Lean and 6S initiatives, and report incidents or concerns.
11. Support all production activities to meet customer expectations and business goals.
