Location: Hybrid working – initial base at Buttershaw, Bradford. Future base in Leeds Valley Park, Summer 2026.
Employment type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.

Where You Fit In
The Environmental Permit Compliance team delivers partnership support and assurance services to operational teams, ensuring compliance with the Environment Agency (EA) inspection process.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team of specialists to deliver performance and service standards.
* Coach and mentor team members, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
* Provide technical and operational direction to meet permit compliance.
* Analyse and interpret compliance data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
* Develop and track improvement action plans to ensure compliance with environmental permits and internal targets.
* Collaborate with asset management, permitting, and regulatory teams to drive improvements.
* Support CAR form responses, proactive site audits, EA inspections and liaison.
* Assist in developing and implementing management systems and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
* People management, coaching, mentoring and/or leadership experience.
* In‑depth understanding of wastewater processes, environmental permits and compliance.
* Experience within the WASC sector or regulated industry framework.
* Proven ability to influence across multiple levels of the business and externally.
* Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative working.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
* Experience in change management and conflict resolution.
* Process improvement capabilities.
* Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical and compliance information.
* Full UK driving licence and access to own car.
