About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and committed Recovery Coordinator to join our team, supporting individuals who misuse drugs and alcohol across all stages of their recovery journey.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference — from initial assessment and engagement through structured treatment and into sustained recovery. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred recovery planning and case management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of service users, developing, implementing and reviewing tailored recovery and treatment plans.
* Conduct triage, screening and comprehensive assessments.
* Deliver structured psychosocial interventions (e.g., MI, CBT, PSIs, ITEP) in both 1:1 and group settings.
* Undertake risk assessments, safeguarding assessments and risk management planning.
* Work in partnership with external agencies to promote progression from engagement to sustained recovery.
* Support families and carers, reducing the impact of substance-related harm on family life.
* Facilitate access to community resources to build recovery capital and social inclusion.
* Participate in drug screening, harm reduction initiatives, BBV testing/immunisation services and needle exchange programmes.
* Maintain accurate case records using an online case management system.
* Contribute to safeguarding processes and promote the safety of service users and the wider community.
* Promote peer support and visible recovery across the service.
* Attend supervision, training and performance reviews as part of ongoing professional development.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in working with individuals affected by problematic drug and/or alcohol use.
* Confident in assessing complex needs and developing robust risk management plans.
* Skilled in delivering evidence-based interventions such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), CBT, PSIs and ITEP.
* Able to manage a busy caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of record-keeping.
* Knowledgeable about safeguarding procedures and harm reduction approaches.
* A strong communicator who can build positive working relationships with service users, families, colleagues and partner agencies.
* Respectful of diversity, promoting equality and challenging discriminatory practice.
