We are currently recruiting Van Drivers (3.5 Tonne, Cat B) for flexible opportunities for either ad hoc shifts or more regular long-term work across Barnstaple and the wider North Devon area. Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting van drivers to support a wide range of clients across the area. This role involves driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and completing deliveries across North Devon. Please note that this position is not parcel delivery work. Location Barnstaple and North Devon Salary £14.57 per hour PAYE Advance with other PAYE models available. Higher pay rates available for weekend shifts Weekly pay Key Responsibilities • Driving a 3.5 tonne van safely and responsibly • Delivering goods across North Devon in a professional and timely manner • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues • Following all road safety and transport regulations • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team regarding delivery schedules and updates • Completing all paperwork accurately and on time • Starting shifts between 04:00 and 09:00 depending on the route and client requirements Qualifications Essential: • Full and valid UK Category B driving licence • No more than 6 penalty points • No DR, DD, or IN endorsements • Reliable and professional approach to work Desirable: • Previous experience as a van driver, delivery driver, or multi-drop driver • Good geographical knowledge of North Devon • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties Benefits • Weekly pay through PAYE Advance (other PAYE models are available) • Flexible shifts to suit both part-time and full-time availability • Opportunity for ad hoc work or long-term assignments • Reduced rates on CPC training for drivers looking to progress to 7.5 tonne work • Supportive team environment • Access to a wide range of driving and logistics roles across North Devon How to Apply To apply for this Van Driver role, call 01364 644149 or click Apply Now to send your CV and driving details.
