Role Type: Permanent

Location: Hybrid / 2 days per week in Ipswich.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software and Data Project Manager who specialises in Agile methodologies to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development and data projects, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading Agile projects from inception to completion.

As a pivotal member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

People:

* Become a valued member of the consultancy client team to develop high quality solutions within a DevOps culture.
* Collaborate closely with other members of the team, don’t be afraid to ask for help and never stop yourself from helping your colleagues.

Project planning and execution:

* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software and or data projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
* Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to foster collaboration and transparency within the team.
* Working alongside the Business Analyst on larger projects and undertaking this role on smaller projects
* Preparing estimates, tracking actuals vs estimated and providing analysis/reports during at the end of the projects to Head of Operations.

Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:

* Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Manage expectations and ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Risk Management and Mitigation:

* Identify potential risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to minimise their impact on project delivery.
* Proactively address issues and roadblocks to keep projects on track and within scope.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across the organisation, leveraging Agile principles and best practices.
* Conduct retrospectives to reflect on project outcomes and identify areas for improvement in processes, tools, and team dynamics.

Experience:

* Minimum 2 years in a bespoke software consultancy or large internal IT organisation in a DevOps culture using Azure DevOps or similar.
* In depth knowledge of Agile business analysis techniques and direct working with a range of customers across multiple business areas.
* Experience guiding delivery team members and customers in delivering software.
* Experience in reporting to management at a project and organisation level.
* Experience of working with a cross-functional software team.
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Product suite with a focus on Azure cloud solutions and implementing Software as a Service is desirable.
