Job Purpose : The Quarterly Planning Manager is responsible for leading IMS's quarterly planning and execution process, ensuring clear understanding of progress with current quarter execution while staying on track with next quarter planning. This role is critical to maintaining alignment across all teams and driving successful delivery of quarterly objectives while playing a key part in managing product lifecycle development and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver world-class telematics, mobility, and insurance technology solutions. The Quarterly Planning Manager operates as a programme manager for Product and Engineering business functions, ensuring a structured approach is maintained to product design and development. This role requires strong project management skills, leadership, and hands-on problem-solving skills to help bring IMS's next-generation products from plan to reality. The position is responsible for orchestrating planning processes, managing dependencies, and ensuring all stakeholders remain focused on achieving strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Planning Process Leadership Leads and facilitates quarterly planning sessions across all product and engineering teams Develops and maintains planning templates, processes, and best practices Coordinates cross-functional planning activities and ensures alignment with company objectives Manages the planning calendar and ensures all teams meet critical planning milestones Execution Management Monitors progress against quarterly commitments and identifies risks early Facilitates regular check-ins and progress reviews with team leads Maintains visibility of team capacity, dependencies, and blockers Drives resolution of impediments that impact delivery timelines Stakeholder Coordination Serves as the primary point of contact for planning-related communications Coordinates with engineering, product, design, and other departments Provides regular updates to executive leadership on planning progress Facilitates dependency mapping and cross-team coordination Process Improvement Continuously evaluates and improves planning processes and methodologies Implements metrics and reporting to track planning effectiveness Drives adoption of best practices across teams Leads retrospectives and incorporates learnings into future planning cycles Risk Management Identifies and escalates risks that could impact quarterly deliverables Develops mitigation strategies for identified risks Monitors external dependencies and their impact on planning Maintains contingency plans for critical deliverables Essential Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field 3 years of experience in project management, program management, or similar role Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies Experience with planning tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar) Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and facilitation abilities Experience working in cross-functional environments Bonus Qualifications: SAFe certification or Release Train Engineer experience Experience in software development or technology companies Background in product management or engineering Experience with scaled agile frameworks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Previous experience managing complex, multi-team initiatives Other Contextual Information: Hybrid role, requiring in-office presence for key meetings, product launches, and strategy sessions.
