Conditions of Service
The appointment is subject to the Conditions of Service for Academic Staff. The work pattern may not align with the traditional academic year.
All successful applicants will undergo the following checks:
* Enhanced DBS
* 2 x References, including your current or most recent employer
* Qualification validation check
Salary
The salary range is from £25,599 to £39,725 per annum. Starting salary depends on experience and qualifications. Salary increases occur annually upon passing probation.
Teaching Qualification
You must hold an appropriate teaching qualification or be willing to undertake the Certificate in Education and Training within 2 years.
Note: Funding for the qualification is not guaranteed; student loans are available.
Maths and English
Minimum Level 2 qualification required. If not held, must be obtained during employment.
Safeguarding
The College is committed to safeguarding. All staff will undertake safeguarding training.
Online Checks
Successful shortlisted candidates will undergo online checks before employment.
Qualification Validation
The College will verify essential qualifications by contacting educational institutions.
Hours of Work
37 hours per week, with 17.5 hours dedicated to delivery. Actual hours to be agreed. This is a fixed-term position ending on 31 July 2026.
Annual Leave
37 days plus 8 public holidays and 5 discretionary days. Leave is pro-rated for part-time staff.
Pension Scheme
The College offers the Teachers Pensions scheme.
Probationary Period
9 months, including mandatory induction and training sessions.
First Aid & Fire Marshall
Staff with these responsibilities must undertake relevant training and duties.
References
Two satisfactory references are required.
Location
The role is based at the Malvern Campus but may require work at other locations.
