Job Title: Lecturer in Access to HE Science (Chemistry and Biology)
Doncaster College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Access to HE Science with a specialism in Chemistry and Biology to join our Adult Skills team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to life-changing education and support learners on their journey to higher education and beyond.
About the Role
You will deliver high-quality teaching across Access to HE and Level 2 Science programmes, using innovative and inclusive methods to engage learners. You'll support students academically and pastorally, helping them achieve their goals and progress to higher education or employment. The role requires working at Doncaster and North Lindsey College.
Essential Criteria
* A relevant degree in Chemistry or Biology.
* A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Subject expertise and relevant industry experience.
* Strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons using a range of teaching methods and digital tools.
2. Monitor student progress, attendance, and behaviour, providing tailored support.
3. Set high aspirations through SMART targets and provide timely feedback.
4. Support recruitment and enrolment activities, including open days and events.
5. Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
