Department/Team: Marketing & Commercial
Responsible to: Senior Digital & Content Designer
Hours: Three days (24 hours) per week from 10am to 6pm. Two days in the office (preferably Monday and Wednesday) and one day working from home (preferably Friday).
Duration: Nine months fixed term with an option to extend.
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 FTE per annum, pro-rated to 24 hours per week.
Location: The Old Vic, 103 The Cut, London, SE1 8NB
The Team
The Graphic Designer reports to the Senior Digital & Content Designer and collaborates with the Marketing & Commercial team to deliver marketing, income generation, and audience development through engaging graphic design.
Purpose of Job
Supporting the in-house graphic design output for The Old Vic, with a focus on print design. The role involves working within templates, creating new templates, collaborating with external agencies, and ensuring brand consistency across all communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and roll out typography-led print and digital artwork for campaigns and merchandise.
• Create new templates to support campaign artwork.
• Collaborate with external agencies and freelancers.
• Ensure high-quality output in collaboration with the Senior Digital & Content Designer.
• Liaise with internal departments and external printers.
• Maintain brand consistency and ensure proper archiving and file management.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Essential
* Junior/midweight experience with a strong portfolio
* Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
* Experience with Adobe Illustrator and After Effects
* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries
* Strong typography skills and experience working with typography-led brands
* Ability to work within templates and ensure brand accuracy
* Experience taking projects from brief to final print
* Understanding of print processes, especially large format
* Experience in creative communications or marketing
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and good communicator
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Experience managing brand guidelines
* Experience working with theatre, museums, or galleries is desirable
