Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Hotel General Manager to manage one of the busiest and largest hotels in the Strathmore Hotels' portfolio in the stunning Scottish west coast town of Fort William.
The successful candidate must have extensive experience in hotel management, be willing to be "hands-on", and have the ability to build and nurture a successful team in all departments in order to realise our main objectives of excellent levels of customer service and employee satisfaction.
This 115 bedroom hotel is bustling with year-round high occupancy bedroom trade through private leisure guests, the tour market, and also corporate business. There is also strong food and beverage sales, as well as frequent meeting and events.
Duties
* Lead and supervise hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
* Oversee guest services to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
* Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as hotel standards.
* Collaborate with various departments to enhance guest experiences through special events and promotions.

* Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Experience in supervising staff in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
