Do you thrive on diagnosing complex electro‑mechanical systems, reading wiring diagrams like a second, and leaving customers confident that their compressed air systems are in top shape? If that sounds like you, this role in Marlborough, MA could be your next move.
Where and when you’ll work
* Base: Marlborough, MA
* Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
* Field coverage: Travel daily within a ~3‑hour radius; we supply a company vehicle and fuel card
What challenges will you tackle?
* Install, commission, maintain, and fix rotary screw, reciprocating, and Centac/ECC compressors plus associated air system components.
* Use precision instruments and your PLC skills to pinpoint faults and restore performance.
* Lead or assist with pre‑commissioning, start‑ups, and installations—hands‑on, safely, and to customer specs.
* Plan ahead with the Service Coordinator to ensure parts and materials are on hand.
* Build customer trust by explaining Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection programs that cut downtime.
* Mentor apprentices and collaborate with fellow Field Service Technicians; communicate clearly in writing and in person.
Are these your strengths?
* 2+ years of industrial/commercial mechanical troubleshooting.
* Driver’s license held 12+ months with a safe record (no DUI in the last 5 years; no hit & run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple preventable incidents in the last 3 years).
* Willing to rotate on‑call after your first 90 days (24/7 for one week), as often as every 4 weeks or less depending on team needs.
* Physically ready for the work: frequent use of hands/fingers; walking, stooping, kneeling; and lifting/moving per safety policy.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical fluency we value
* Schematic/diagram reading
* Advanced network installs (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation)
* Basic vibration diagnostics
* Air quality and treatment fundamentals (compressor/dryer)
* Microsoft Office; smartphones/iPads; network‑based tools
* Cost‑efficient business travel practices
Bonus points
* Industrial air compressor maintenance experience
* EPA Certification
* Veterans/Active‑Duty Military encouraged to apply

Compensation & benefits
* Hourly pay: $25.00 – $35.00 (full‑time, hourly)
* Sign‑on bonus: $3,000
