Curriculum Development: Oversee the design and delivery of a rigorous and engaging English curriculum for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering a love of language and literature. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of dedicated English teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive departmental culture. Assessment & Evaluation: Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instructional practices. Innovation & Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest pedagogical approaches and curriculum developments, championing innovation in teaching and learning. Communication & Collaboration: Build strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaboration. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. Proven track record of successful leadership in an English department or similar role. Demonstrated expertise in English language and literature pedagogy and assessment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
