Our client is seeking a dedicated and organised Stores Person to join their Manufacturing Stores Warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of the stores by carrying out manual and administrative duties, including fork-truck operation, stock control, and inventory management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately record stock received and issued on the ERP system to maintain up-to-date inventory levels.
* Check incoming goods against delivery notes and record receipts in the ERP system.
* Produce Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and liaise with the purchasing department where required.
* Issue stock and prepare parts kits for the production line.
* Maintain an organised and tidy stores area, adhering to 6S principles.
* Monitor stock levels to ensure timely availability for production.
* Manage defective or discrepant materials in accordance with established procedures.
* Take personal responsibility for health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace.
Education & Qualifications:
* Basic high school education required.
* Certification in warehouse operations, supply chain, or logistics advantageous.
* Counterbalance forklift truck certificate or relevant experience (refresh training provided).
* Pivot Truck experience desirable but not essential (training provided).
Professional Experience:
* Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment required.
* Experience in a manufacturing setting advantageous.
* Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems essential (Movex/M3 system experience advantageous).
* Familiarity with 5S/6S working environments preferred.
* Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
