Role Overview
The Post provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the Local Plan. This involves building on existing documents to develop an up-to-date comprehensive plan supporting the district’s clean growth ambitions, including projects like Northern Powerhouse Rail.
Key Projects
1. Local Plan work to publication and submission
2. Monitoring land supply and delivery
3. Neighbourhood Planning
4. Strategic planning and Duty to Cooperate
5. Supporting regeneration and master planning
Candidate Requirements
Relevant experience in planning, preferably in local plan development, policy creation, implementation, and monitoring. A degree and eligibility for corporate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or a relevant professional organization are required.
