World Rugby is now on a mission to innovate to excite, inspire and engage new audiences in existing and new rugby markets, to grow the sport for all. Through World Rugby Events & Media (WREM), the delivery of major tournaments under a new model will be key to the success of a ten year strategic plan which will see Rugby World Cups in England in 2025, Australia in 2027 & 2029, and culminating in ground breaking tournaments in the USA in 2031 and 2033. Under the new model, World Rugby will have a more direct role in the setting up, running and delivery of the Rugby World Cups and aims to be the leader in the delivery of major international events.
Overview
World Rugby, is looking for a Broadcast and Production Coordinator to join our Broadcast & Production Team
Reporting to the Production Executive, the Broadcast & Production Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations across World Rugby original content and supporting tournament coverage. The individual will work with the entire Broadcast and Production team across Production, Broadcast Services and Operations on the planning and implementation of all production aspects.
This person will ideally have experience across a variety of different types of content, including live production, digital, social and branded content – short and long form including documentary, however a strength in some and not all, will be considered.
We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across multiple projects in a demanding and fast-paced environment. This role will be critical to the production of both live and post-produced content across a busy slate.
Key Responsibilities, Tasks & Activities
* Provide support to the original content team across their staffing and deliverables.
* Book travel and accommodation for the production team, as well as Talent / Contributors.
* Create Talent / Contributor schedules and work closely with the Talent Producer and Senior Production Manager to support the Talent Booking process.
* Assist with a range of day-to-day tasks including creating call sheets, schedules, completing post-production paperwork, tracking costs and ensuring Contributor Agreements / Release forms are in place.
* Produce purchase orders, invoices and manage the payments process to suppliers and Talent / Contributors.
* Collaborate with various teams, suppliers and agencies to optimize workflows within programming production.
* Ensure all content produced is archived correctly and all production paperwork is completed and filed.
* Proactively looks for ways of improving efficiency within production, promotes diversity and advocates the rationale for new ways of working and/or for adopting new production related technology.
* Working with editorial and production colleagues to devise and implement plans to reduce environmental impact across the production.
Person Specification
* Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a Production Coordinator or equivalent, in international sports production.
* Experience in Rugby Broadcast an advantage.
* Understand the technical processes involved in live and non-live content production.
* Knowledge of production workflows.
* An understanding of Production and technical operations at an international level and proven experience working on an international sports events.
* Strong understanding and proven experience of managing the logistical needs for a production team in an Outside Broadcast environment.
* Knowledge of the full production administration side – scheduling, contracting, finance (purchase orders and invoices).
* Previous experience working within digital production.
* Have knowledge of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation and procedures.
* Able to manage interpersonal relationships effectively and operate with others in a diverse team.
* Demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills and manages conflicting demands to meet deadlines in fast paced environments.
* Able to proactively devise new ideas for working more efficiently.

* Interest in Rugby (ideal but not essential, however must be open to developing an interest)

* Ideally has experience in using SAP
* Ability to travel
* Ability to work across numerous productions at the same time across different time zones

Flexible Working:
Most of our roles offer hybrid working, with two core office days (Tuesday & Wednesday) and a third day of your choice to be with colleagues in the office. This applies to our Dublin, London offices. The remaining two days are flexible, so you can choose to work from home or be in the office.
