Job Description Service Charge Senior Location : Altrincham Salary: 40-45k per annum Experience: Service charge accounting experience (residential, commercial or mixed) The Role Ready to take the next step in your service charge career? This is an opportunity to join a growing property finance function as a Service Charge Senior, managing your own portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. You will take ownership of service charge accounts from start to finish, provide excellent client support, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members. What you will be doing • Preparing and reviewing year-end service charge accounts (residential and commercial) • Reconciling income and expenditure, including accruals and prepayments • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and property managers • Working with external stakeholders to resolve complex queries and ensure compliance • Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members • Assisting with statutory accounts and audit queries when required • Keeping up to date with service charge best practice and RICS guidelines What we are looking for • Experience in service charge accounting (residential, commercial or mixed) • AAT qualified or QBE (ACCA or ACA part-qualified is a bonus) • Strong understanding of service charge legislation and leaseholder requirements • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships • High attention to detail and strong time management across multiple deadlines • Confident using Excel • Familiarity with property management systems such as Qube, MRI or Yardi (helpful) Working pattern • Office based (Altrincham) What’s On Offer • Competitive salary 40-45k per annum • Company pension scheme • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays • Additional annual leave at certain levels of seniority • Option to buy up to 5 additional days’ annual leave (up to 30 days total) • Business closure over Christmas (subject to business needs) • Life assurance (4x annual salary) • Enhanced family leave policies • Enhanced company sick pay • Employee Assistance Programme (24/7 support, free and confidential) • Corporate discounts platform • Flexible benefits platform (seniority dependent, self-funded at corporate rates), including options such as: o PMI (single or family) o Critical illness cover o Cash plan o Cycle to work o Eye care o Dental Apply in Confidence If you are looking to join a supportive and growing practice where your contribution will be recognised and your career can develop further, we would be delighted to hear from you.
