Smile Education are working closely with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Worcester, who are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with high-level additional needs.
This is a full-time role, available for an immediate start, and requires a resilient and compassionate individual with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine dedication to supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
The Role:
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a child with complex behavioural and learning needs
Help implement tailored strategies to support emotional regulation and access to learning
Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external support services
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports progressRequirements:
Experience supporting children with significant SEN and behavioural challenges
A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils and colleagues
Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Team Teach) are advantageous but not essentialWhy Smile Education?
