About the Senior Audit Manager Role
This role will see you take ownership of a varied and interesting client portfolio across multiple sectors, including complex and high-profile assignments. Reporting directly to a Partner, you will play a key role in managing and developing the audit department, supporting growth and delivering a first-class service to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the full audit process from planning through to completion
Ensuring jobs are delivered on time and within budget
Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the audit team
Supporting Partners with departmental strategy and development
Managing and reviewing audit engagements and accounts preparation under UK GAAP
Preparing budgets and managing workflow efficiently
Building strong relationships with clients and identifying cross-selling opportunities
Assisting in business development and preparation of proposals
Keeping up to date with legislative, technical, and regulatory changes and sharing insights with the team
RequirementsAbout You
The successful candidate will be an experienced Audit professional who enjoys leading teams, building relationships, and adding value to clients.
Requirements:
ACA / ACCA qualified
Substantial recent experience in an audit-focused role
Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards
Proven experience managing or being ready to manage your own portfolio
Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff
Familiarity with systems such as Sage, Xero, CCH, and Caseware (advantageous)
Excellent communication, organisation, and client engagement skills
Ability to travel to client sites as required
Proactive approach with a strong commercial awareness and professional work ethic.
