We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team in Christchurch, Canterbury. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the building and construction industry by providing accurate cost estimates for various projects. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for building and construction projects based on project specifications and drawings.
* Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimates.
* Analyse labour, material, and overhead costs to provide comprehensive pricing.
* Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for future reference.
* Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals.
* Review and adjust estimates based on project changes or client feedback.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the estimation process.

Bringing a strong blend of technical expertise and commercial construction experience, this role requires confidence to lead, delivery high-quality outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced pre-construction environment. * A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within the building and construction industry.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
