Position Overview
This supervisory role involves supporting, evaluating, and treating adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities include supervising staff, overseeing clinical and administrative services, coordinating daily schedules, and providing shift coverage as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Cover all shifts efficiently, including scheduling and personally covering open shifts.
2. Implement behavior plan interventions, including physical restraints if necessary.
3. Maintain a valid Driver’s License and provide transportation as required.
4. Coordinate medical, dental, therapeutic, and related appointments.
5. Administer medications following proper procedures.
6. Work with the Program Director on staff interviewing, training, and evaluation.
7. Supervise staff and facilitate monthly supervision meetings.
8. Complete all administrative and clinical paperwork on time.
9. Assist in developing and evaluating Individual Support Plans (ISP).
10. Perform direct care duties, including instructing and supervising individuals.
11. Attend individual meetings and conduct weekly staff meetings.
12. Monitor program spending and adhere to budgets.
13. Maintain accurate employee records and staff training schedules.
14. Participate in training and coach new staff.
15. Coordinate house maintenance with Operations.
16. Complete payroll bi-weekly.
17. Maintain contact with families, guardians, and relevant parties.
18. Ensure compliance with QUEST standards and OSHA regulations.
19. Develop and train staff on Exposure Control Plans.
20. Follow all agency policies and philosophies.
Qualifications
* BA/BS in Human Services preferred; previous residential and supervisory experience required.
* Valid Driver’s License.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and internet use.
* Successful completion of mandated trainings, including medication administration.
* Willingness to undergo background checks and provide necessary disclosures.
Language Skills
Fluent in English with the ability to read, interpret, and communicate effectively in various formats and with diverse audiences.
Physical Demands
Must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and other physical activities. Accommodations may be provided.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to follow detailed instructions and carry out complex tasks accurately.
