How will you make an impact in this role?

As a Technical Project Manager on our diverse tech team, you will lead cross-functional project and program teams and work with internal and external customers to establish and interpret project/program objectives into solutions. There will be senior stakeholder management and tracking of delivery plans to complex Program Plans.

This role will collaborate closely with Product, Engineers, Architects, Leadership, and other key partners, to ensure completeness and efficiency of solutions while ensuring alignment to standards. Delivering business value-based outcomes using best practices in delivery and processes is key to this role, equally important is the ability to understand payment products and functionality in support of platforms within Technology.

In this role you will actively drive processes, delivery and execution in a highly exciting fast paced Payment space encompassing regulatory, product development, technology modernisation to innovation.

You will be the conduit between Business, Architecture, Product and Engineering demonstrating business and technology expertise in bringing the different functions together in delivering key business outcomes leveraging your experience and excellent stakeholder management.

1. Own and drive complex delivery plans across the payments business roadmap, including platform modernisation and alignment with enterprise-wide initiatives.
2. Plan, track, and execute end-to-end program delivery across multiple teams, ensuring commitments are met across scope, timeline, quality, and risk.
3. Execute Program Increment (PI) objectives in alignment with organisational strategy, vision, and roadmap, ensuring delivery of measurable business and user value.
4. Lead and facilitate technical discussions on system design, architecture, and integration patterns; partner with engineering and architecture teams to document solutions, assess trade-offs, and mitigate technical risk.
5. Manage and align technical and delivery dependencies across teams, platforms, and releases to ensure integration and release readiness.
6. Drive team- and release-level delivery execution using Agile methodologies, servant leadership, strong domain knowledge, and technical acumen.
7. Track sprint and iteration progress, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and removing impediments to maintain delivery predictability.
8. Partner with Product Owners to build, refine, prioritise, and maintain a ready, outcome-driven product backlog.
9. Collaborate with other Technical Program Managers to coordinate cross-team initiatives, shared dependencies, and enterprise priorities.
10. Define, analyse, and communicate metrics-driven insights using delivery, flow, and quality metrics to assess execution health and drive continuous improvement.
11. Prepare executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations, and clearly communicate program status, risks, issues, dependencies, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
12. Use data to drive capacity planning, predictability, and informed decision-making across teams.
13. Coach and mentor Technical Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to strengthen execution discipline, Agile maturity, and SDLC adoption.
14. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning through regular inspection, adaptation, and experimentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

15. Bachelor’s degree in technology related subject area or equivalent experience required
16. 8+ years of technical project management or equivalent program management experience.
17. Excellent stakeholder management, being able to manage stakeholders across the board and senior management.
18. Experience leading Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality
19. Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing
20. Excellent oral and written skills; Ability to efficiently communicate across product, technology, and business partners
21. Ability to deliver complex software iteratively and with quality
22. Experience using Rally delivery management platform or JIRA.
23. Deep understanding of Agile at Scale or iterative development processes, including quality and testing standard practices
24. Experience managing multiple initiatives, priorities, and teams
25. PMI Certification is a plus
26. Scrum Master Certification is a plus
