Minimum qualifications: Doctorate degree in a clinical field (e.g., MD, DO, PharmD, etc.) or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of clinical experience with training. 3 years of experience with designing and leading research programs in the AI for health space. Experience in health-related Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) research. Preferred qualifications: Experience working in dynamic, ambiguous environments with cross-functional product development teams. Experience with advanced training in a medical speciality. Experience working with partners, including C-suite leaders, key opinion formers (KOFs) and policy makers, or communicating with external audiences. Experience working with AI and health in the private sector. Ability to lead within your ecosystem, and to successfully bring health technology to the front line. The centralized Health team provides guidance and support to Google's product areas for the development of health-related products and services. Experts within the Health team are focused on a range of topics including clinical experience, industry solutioning, regulatory/quality/safety, and employee health and safety. We support products across Google that touch the health and well-being of people on a global scale. Within the Health team, the Clinical Team is a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and other health professionals, as well as clinical researchers, public health experts, and people who have run health systems - and it forms a global team with experience across every layer of health in a range of geographies (US, EMEA, APAC and more). This team works closely with groups within Google. In this role, you will have experience in designing and executing AI-centered research programs in the health and life science space. You will have experience in taking research through to product development. Responsibilities Use your AI and research expertise to provide clinical leadership to teams across Google, contributing both to overarching direction as well as to individual product and research roadmaps. Use clinical and domain expertise to provide clinical leadership, guidance, insights and direction on Google's health-focused AI research projects, working in a deeply embedded model with research, engineering, UX/UXR, product and partnerships teams. Identify relevant clinical guidelines, evidence-based practices, and use cases related to the development and evaluation of AI models and use these to influence research and product development. Respond to the needs of the business and projects prioritizing effort effectively, and work in a portfolio environment to bring your experience to a range of endeavors.
